What is salicylic peel?

Salicylic peel belongs to the category of chemical peels, which are characterized not by scraping cells that have already served their term, but by dissolving them. Its basis is salicylic acid. Salicylic acid (2-hydroxybenzene acid) has the ability to produce a strong antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect.

However, it does not irritate the skin layers, prevents the formation of comedones and does not penetrate deep into the skin, which sharply reduces the possibility of a post-peeling side effect. Like other beta-hydroxy acids, salicylic acid is one of the key active agents in the treatment of acne, psoriasis, oily skin, clogged pores, and hyperkeratosis. Salicylic acid acts as a keratolytic, increasing peeling, cleansing pores and neutralizing bacteria and, therefore, reduces the manifestation of acne.

Refers to surface peels. Salicylic acid is ideal for treating deep comedones (white wen), helps to thin the skin membrane, as a result of which the comedone is dried and easy to remove. Peeling is used to treat scars, hyperkeratosis, age spots, photoaging and to treat wrinkles.

Recommended for oily, porous and acne skin. It has a powerful bactericidal and sebostatic effect, loosens the skin, improves mesotherapy procedures.

Yes, peeling is an absolutely safe procedure for health.

From 3-4 months and longer depending on the individual characteristics of the body. Sometimes a second course is required to achieve the desired effect and a longer lasting result.

Before the peeling procedure, it is important not to sunbathe for at least 2 weeks, stop taking tetracycline antibiotics, it is advisable to refuse to take hormonal oral contraceptives.

Redness and tightness of the skin pass after 5-7 days. It is forbidden to sunbathe for at least a month, even with creams with a high level of protection. This is necessary in order to prevent the formation of pigmentation.

In the absence of serious aesthetic problems, it is enough to do one procedure 1-2 times a year. To solve certain severe skin problems and intensive rejuvenation, a course of procedures is required, which is selected individually by the cosmetologist according to indications.

During peeling, tingling, slight burning of the skin may occur. However, these sensations are tolerable and do not cause severe pain.
