What is laser photoepilation?
IPL + RF hair removal is one way to remove hair using highly pulsed light. The technique is based on the fact that the hair pigment – melanin, which is concentrated in the shaft and the hair follicle, is able to absorb light waves. Under the influence of thermal waves, the blood in the capillaries that nourish the onion coagulates. As a result, the hair follicle loses its nutrients and dies, and the hair disappears.
When light energy is absorbed by the hair rods, various reactions occur in the subcutaneous tissues, the main of which is thermal. As a result, the tissue is heated to a high temperature, which leads to the destruction of the hair and hair follicle. Therefore, the IPL + RF epilation process is called thermolysis (thermo-temperature, lysis – destruction), and from a scientific point of view, IPL + RF epilation is correctly called photo thermolysis.

The absorption of light waves occurs with different intensities, and depends on the color of the hair. The color of the hair depends on the content of melanin in it, which is contained in the hair and hair follicle. The darker the color of the hair, the more melanin it contains. Therefore, with IPL + RF hair removal, a source with such a light wave that is most absorbed by melanin and the least by other pigments that are somehow present in the skin will be used. Such selective exposure is commonly called selective photo thermolysis.
With selective photo-thermolysis, the hair is heated to 70-80 degrees Celsius, all cells of the hair follicle, including the cells of the hair papilla, die, so hair growth does not resume. In other cases, the hair follicle is not destroyed, but is significantly damaged, resulting in its atrophy, the natural cycle of hair growth is disrupted, its thickness and pigmentation are reduced.
Immediately after the procedure, effects such as swelling and redness of the treated skin areas occur. This is accompanied by painful sensations. The duration of such effects depends on the intensity of the flow of light energy used during hair removal and on the color, thickness and thickness of the hair. In case of discomfort persists for a couple of hours, local cooling, painkillers are used. The rehabilitation period after IPL + RF hair removal lasts about 5-7 days. During this period, it is better to exclude the use of cosmetics, you can not visit the pool, sauna or bathhouse.
